NFB-CA San Jose Chapter Meeting Notes

Presidential Release:

   -

   Braille calendars available for free until Jan. 30th via the
   Independence Market
   -

   Independence Market website is coming back in 2021!
   -

   UPDATE: Smart City Summit meeting has been moved to Jan 28. Watch the
   list serves for more info!
   -

   Washington Seminar: Training will be offered in January to prepare.
   Seminar will be second week of February.
   -

   Vispero is matching donations to the NFB up to $50,000 through end of
   year. You can contribute at nfb.org/donate


Washington Seminar:

   -

   A form will be sent out soon for sign-ups. Everyone is encouraged to
   participate at some level. We are asking interested parties to sign up by
   the 30th of December.


Code of Conduct:

   -

   All leaders and members are being asked to agree to the NFB Code of
   Conduct. Brian will send out a link to it, but you can also find it on the
   nfb.org website.


. Fundraising Update:

   -

   Virtual restaurant fundraisers are definitely an option. Some national
   chains require beneficiaries to be non-profits. If we want to do this, we
   can work through the State Affiliate as a non-profit umbrella,
   -

   Jamie will gather a list of potential restaurants and summarize the
   details of their process.
   -

   Brian Q also looked up fundraising ideas and will send out a list soon
