Hello all,
As promised, here are a few super easy holiday treat recipes! Share and
enjoy!
1. Very Easy Pumpkin Cupcakes (great if you're in a hurry)
Ingredients:
- 1 box spice cake mix (carrot cake or yellow cake work too)
- 1 14-oz can pureed pumpkin
Directions:
- Dump the cake mix into a large bowl.
- Add the canned pumpkin and mix to thoroughly combine
- Pour into lined cupcake pan and bake according to cake mix package
instructions
- Optional: If you like some extra texture, add nuts or dried fruit while
mixing
- When cupcakes are cool, top with your favorite cream cheese icing!
2. Reindeer Feed Party Mix
Ingredients:
- 3 C. Honey Nut Chex cereal
- 3 C. Chocolate Chex Cereal
- 1.5 C. mini pretzels
- 1 C. salted roasted peanuts (or nut of choice! If you have a nut allergy,
you can skip this and use popped popcorn. If you don't have a nut allergy,
try using both!)
- 1 C. holiday M&M's (or regular M&M's if you don't care what color they
are, or chocolate chips)
Directions:
- This couldn't be easier. Dump everything into a bowl and mix to combine.
That's it. Enjoy!
3. Boozy (or not) Spiced Apple Cider (makes enough for a whole party!)
Ingredients:
- 14 cups apple cider or juice
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 10 whole allspice berries
- 3 gala or fuji apples (cored and cubed)
- cinnamon sticks
- 10 fl. oz. spiced rum (optional)
Directions:
- Add the cinnamon sticks, allspice berries, apples, and apple cider or
juice to a slow cooker or pot. (If using a slow cooker, turn the heat
setting to high) Heat for about 30 to 60 minutes or until steaming (you
should hear some bubbles, and it will smell great!)
- Add the rum if you're using it.
- Ladle into mugs and enjoy!
Happy holidays, and see you all on Zoom later today!
