Candy,

I would call the hotel to determine where the shuttles pick up from the
terminal. Which airline are you flying?

I've taken Uber and Lyft from the airport. LAX is a madhouse. That being
said, the pickup zones are located on the upper departures level. The taxis
pick up on the arrivals level downstairs.

It would be wise to check with the hotel prior to flying down so you are
armed with as much information as possible before going. I wouldn't rely on
airport staff to know a lot... this going off past experience with airport
personnel. It's a mixed bag. That being said, if they pick up where all the
other shuttles pick up, then you could just ask where the shuttles pick up
and go from there. But like I said, having info from the hotel where their
stop is might save you a lot of time, hassle and frustration.
