Margaret:

Thank you for contacting the State Board of Guide Dogs for the Blind (Board). Currently, the Board has best practices for first responders responding to dog attacks on guide dogs. We will be working in the future on best practices for guide dog teams in a hospital setting. In the interim, I have cc’d some of our consumer stakeholders to provide some assistance in the interim. Please let me know if you have been provided the information you need. Take care and thank you for contacting the Board.

Hello, I am interested in sharing information with our nursing students, some of whom are volunteer paramedics, about protocol when responding to an emergency involving a guide dog team. Any advice is appreciated. Many thanks. Margaret
