Dear Consumer Organizations: 

The State Board of Guide Dogs for the Blind, in partnership with guide dog schools and law enforcement, would like to share a couple of helpful resources addressing dog attacks on guide dogs.  Below is the link to the transcript , video, and photos of our February 24  press conference on dog attacks on guide dogs, held in San Francisco.   Additionally, the Board has posted the Guide Dog Users Incorporated video on dog attacks.   

We hope to provide outreach and education to  three groups: 1) consumers - what to do in the case of a dog attack on your guide; 2) Law enforcement - how to respond to a call for a dog attack on a guide; and  3) the General public - what to do if witnessing a dog attack and how to interact with working teams.
