Hello Jonathan,  Speaking for myself, I was concerned that our organization
NFBC had drafted this letter and had signed on without speaking to the
membership. However, it turns out that we did not write this letter and it
is a form letter trying to draw support for this bill. Also, it is my
understanding that you are the Legislative Coordinator for the NFBC and did
you have any knowledge of this bill? Also will you and your committee be
discussing this bill sometime in the near future?

I've heard through this discussion that there are people that have
"concerns" about the draft letter sent. I'm wondering if examples of where
those concerns are in the letter can be pointed out. I think if we have
examples of people's concerns, we can have a more in depth discussion. 

 

I am not saying how I feel about this letter, because I truly don't know. I
have not had a chance to read the legislation it is in support of. But, I'd
like to hear colleagues tangible concerns in order to discuss.
