Hi Robert.  John hasn't moved yet.  That will come around new 
years.  He's
been moving stuff to San Jose where he'll be living closer to his 
Mom and
sister.

    As for court filing, John's been contacted by the dog's owner 
and has
been told that he'll pay up.  John wants to give him a chance.  
John has
four copies of all vet bills and will receive today the order to 
the owner
of Unsub dog that it is his, the owner's responsibility to pay 
all vet bills
arising from this event.  So if cagdu or our chapter decides to 
help, it
will be in the nature of a loan.  John understands that.

    John can't use Billy until the end of the month.  The 
stitches are out,
but the vet doesn't even want a collar on Billy's neck right now.  
Billy
appears to not be fearful of other dogs for now, but he's still 
being
medicated with steroids and antibiotics for the next little 
while.

    Part of why I feel so bad about this is that I don't want one 
of John's
last memories of living here to be such an unpleasant one.  He's 
become sort
of an institution here.  Bye for now.  Ken
