Hey folks,
I?m not sure who to raise this to, but I was checking out the convention page so I can share the link to the scholarship application with some students and I noticed some big issues. First, the link to the English application just redirects to the main convention info page. Second, the link to the Spanish application leads to the English application. So it appears as though no Spanish application is available, and students looking for the English application just get dumped right back where they started and can?t find it. 

This should be an easy fix, but if any announcements about the scholarship applications were already made, it?s a good idea to send out new ones once the fix is made (and verified) in case we lost anyone with the error.

Thanks for fixing that. I'll send out those emails shortly. I noticed
that the images on the Spanish version of the scholarship page
(http://www.nfbcal.org/programas-de-becas/) have alt text in English
rather than Spanish. I unfortunately don't know enough Spanish to help
with this, but it might be more inclusive to change the image
descriptions into Spanish as well. Or we could implement that change
next year. What do you think? Thanks.

I am sorry that I was not able to attend the meeting tonight, stuck in
traffic coming back from a funeral.

I see the Exhibitor Sponsor Letter State Convention 2022 Final, is
this the correct one for me to send out in the morning.

Also, I have looked into ordering the wrist bands, there are three
colors that we can use.
One has VIP and this one can be use for members in good standing for
voting , registration, breakfast and the buffet.

The next color can be used for members that are not current with their
dues, but paid for registration, breakfast and buffet.

The last color can be used for non members.

They can receive their wrist bands, when they pick up their
registration package.

Please let me know.

Hi, everyone:

Below are some topics I want to go over tonight. We will need to be finished by 9 PM. I would also like to propose that we start having weekly meetings now, as convention is getting closer.

Registration table and Covid testing. We need to talk about how this is going to work, and we need to make sure that we have enough people staffing this.

Rookie round up. We will need to set a date for this.

Friday night activity. We should start talking more about this to figure out what we are doing.

I am in the process of talking with all of the divisions to find out what their virtual needs are and if they need extra help. I will not be finished with this by this evening, but I will continue working on this. Carmen Varela and I are also checking on quotes for Spanish translation and closed captioning respectively. I also have a few answers to some questions from the hotel which I will share with you tonight.

I also have attached another draft of the schedule. The only thing I have changed on this draft is showcase and exhibit hall information to coincide with the exhibitor letter and form.

If there?s anything else that we need to discuss this evening, please feel free to let me know.

Hi committee Members,

Attached is a Word version of the small bistro at the hotel. It is an order
at the counter kind of snack bar. Also, please note that although several
items are marked with a V for vegan, some of those items include cheese. I'm
assuming a customer could ask for these items minus the cheese. Also, note
the hours. There is no lunch service. I'm relieved that there is at least a
limited option for food at the hotel.

Hello, Everyone:

Tonight is our next convention planning committee meeting at 8 PM. The Zoom link is below my signature. I am also attaching an updated agenda; I added the hospitality suite, move Resolutions forward, as per Tim?s request, and pushed CABS back, as per Shelby?s request.

I have sent out a call for ambassadors, and I have also sent some information to be posted on the website regarding virtual participation VS in-person participation and perks and requirements for each. I am also going to forward to you a list of questions and answers that we went over last week in a separate email.

Here is what I would like to discuss tonight:

1. Registration
2. Date and plan for Rookie Roundup.
3. Where we are with virtual voting prototype.
4. Online and in-person auction, including in-person payment.
5. Friday night activity finalize.
6. Mask police.
7. AV and Zoom update.

Here are some notes from Rachel on the hotel arrangements for our consideration.

   Below are some notes from the hotel regarding questions that have been
   asked.
   See you tonight!
   Rachel
    1. The  buffet service times are for a maximum of 2 hours.  It usually
       takes anywhere from 2-3 hours to flip the room from buffet seating
       to auditorium/theater style seating.

    2.  We can have attendants to serve the food items at the buffet
       station.

    3.  We can set up the registration table at 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM on
       Thursday 11/3.

    4.  We can use the room until the time of whatever the last event we
       have planned end, however 10:00 PM would be the latest.

    5.   The ballroom can accommodate comfortably 150 people in a banquet
       set-up, about 10 - 15 tables.  The patio can roughly accommodate 8
       6ft tables.

    6.  Wi-Fi is available complimentary in all of the meeting spaces.

    7. All of the suites have wet bars, some are just larger than others.

    8.  Event parking is available for $15 per vehicle each day.  Guests
       will be issued a parking pass and a key that will allow them access
       to the garage.  They would have in and out privileges.
