provide an opportunity for sighted family members to learn how to be supportive
of their visually impaired family member’s vision loss needs and to provide
support to family members as well.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Whether your family member is only able to see light, sees
shapes/shadows, can read large print or is totally blind, your needs will be
address throughout the meeting. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">During the third family support group session, the following
topics will be discussed and addressed:</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">#1. Blindness and adaptive skills and ability to perform
activities of daily living will be addressed. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">#2. Effective verbal and nonverbal communication will be
presented. </p>

discussed. </p>

disabilities will be addressed. </p>

vision loss related situations. </p>

felt pen, table setting (plate and utensils), slice of sandwich bread,
fruit/unpeeled orange, tray; an empty glass, bottle water, and damp paper
towels. </p>
