Hey friends!

I hope to see a lot of you on zoom this Saturday for our monthly meeting. The big topic of discussion this week is Advocacy: Fight, Flight, or Find Another Way.

In the words of Kenny Rogers, “You’ve gotta know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em, know when to walk away…” But does this same thinking come into play when you’re faced with accessibility barriers or discrimination? How do we decide when to advocate for ourselves gently but firmly, when to find work around a to problems to just get things done and move on, when to take our business elsewhere, or when to pull out all the stops and pursue justice yo the fullest extent if the law? 

Come ready to chat, share experiences, and enjoy respectful but enthusiastic debate as we explore this aspect of living the life we want.
