	Hello fellow San Jose NFB members.  I am sad to report the passing of one of our founding
members, John Vandervort.  John has ben a member of the NFB since the 1970's, and came to all
of our in-person meetings, including meetings we held when the San Jose chapter tried to
organize in the early 2000 teens.  The mail below, from Carol Silveria, John's sister, conveys
the news as well as providing contact information for those who wish to learn details of the
memorial service.

Please keep Carol in your thoughts and prayers as she has been caring for John during his
multi-year fight with cancer.

   Vandervort passed away on Monday morning March 6, 2023. I can be
