Minutes for November 19, 2022 3:00PM

Jamie proposes we meet in person, much like we did last year.  It's out doors so we can avoid
enclosed spaces.
Jamie wil send some proposed times and dates for the meeting.
Proposes to meet at some outdoor location at Santana Row in San Jose.

Convention recap:
Marisa appreciated the spanish interpreters for people who came but don't speak English.
Jamie attended virtually and she really enjoyed the virtual banquet table.
Jamie enjoyed the auction.

The community college meet and greet went well, but we didn't actually meet any blind people.
However, some folks who had connections to blind folks did talk to Jamie and Kyle.
The second half of the meeting went well, especially because Jamie and Kyle were able to do a
presentation in front of all the attendees.
Might it be worth reaching out to DSS offices around the Bay Area to make our presence known?
Brian agrees to draft an e-mail describing what we do and will work with Jamie to get the word
out.

Main discussion:  
How do people feel about pursuing a cure to their blindness if the opportunity presents itself?
This was a very lively and thought provoking discussion.


Treasury report:
Our current balance: somewhere between $800 and $900, Kyle will provide more exact numbers at
our next meeting.

The chapter will donate $300 to the state affiliate.
$250 from Jamie, and $50 from Brian to cover the pledge we made at state convention.
