hello fellow chapter members. This is a reminder that
we'll be holding our September chapter meeting on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at
3:00PM, via Zoom. Jamie has once again agreed to host this meeting and we
look forward to seeing all of you via Zoom, see the link below.

We have a number of items for this month's agenda, some of which are
hold overs from last month. Here are the items I'm aware of at the moment.
If there are additional items folks have for this meeting, please let me
know and I'll add them.

1. Voter registration and voter accessibility. We're not here
to discuss how you vote or how you should vote, but we want to make sure
that everyone in our chapter who is elligible to vote is registered to
vote and that they know how to vote in this election. Santa Clara county
has adopted a system to allow nonvisual marking of remote ballots. There
are some things we need to do as a chapter in order to help assure everyone
who wants to vote and is elligible, can vote. Let's discuss.

2. Door prize donations for the state convention. We have developed an
on-line system for donating door prizes for the upcoming state convention;
now all we need are people to decide what they would like to donate as door
prizes and what we, as a chapter, would like to donate as a door prize.

3. Auction baskets
It has become a tradition for the chapters to donate baskets of
goodies to be auctioned off during the convention. The funds go to the
state affiliate and the chapters get recognized for their donations. This
year, we'll be running an on-line auction during the convention. What
should we as a chapter donate?

4. Elections.
It is that time again when we need to elect our board. Normally, we
would hold our elections in August, but that didn't happen. If possible,
I'd like to hold elections at our September meeting, but if that's not
possible, then perhaps we can hold them at our October meeting, which falls
the Saturday before the state convention. I believe our entire board is up
for re-election. Terms are two year terms.

5. Membership.
It's also time to re-up for another year of membership. Kyle, will
you be able to give us a Treasureer's report this Saturday?

Looking forward to seeing everyone virtually this Saturday.

Sincerely,

Brian Buhrow, President, NFB of San Jose.
