>> Vista Center in San Jose is proud to introduce you to our new youth program, Youth of Tomorrow! Youth of Tomorrow is a monthly seminar for youth with visual impairments ages 14 to 24 to aid in transitioning to college, career, and independent living. The seminars are led by Amy Jine with occasional guest speakers and community outings. Amy has studied Orientation & Mobility at Cal State LA, worked for several years at California School for the Blind, and is very passionate about helping students become independent and successful leaders in society. Please see the attached flier for more program details.
>>
>> Youth of Tomorrow will have it's first event Saturday, July 27th from 10:00am - 1:00pm. Amy will be sharing what to expect from Youth of Tomorrow and hosting a goal setting workshop for students. There will be a special guest speaker, Kevin Andrews who will be speaking on travel and independence as a person with a visual impairment. Light snacks will be provided and feel free to bring a bagged lunch. Parents are welcome to attend the first meeting. Please bring your favorite writing medium.
>>
>> We can't wait to see you there! Please RSVP to Amy at Ajine at vistacenter.org by July 17th.
