[Nfbc-sj] Braille Printer for Tactile Graphics

hello. What kind of tactile graphics are you hoping to produce? If
you want to make graphics that utilize braille cells, much like ASCII art,
then any braille printer will do. If, however, you want to make fancier
tactile graphics, then you'll need an embosser capable of producing those
graphics, as well as a knowledge of how to create the files it needs to
produce those graphics. Viewplus makes such devices and, I believe, the
Lighthouse of San Francisco has one in the Mad Lab. Call the Lighthouse
and ask to speak with BJ in the Mad Lab to see if she can do what you want
for a reasonable price.
If you have a brf file you want run through a standard braille
embosser, I can take it and produce embossed copies for you. You could
then pick it up at my office in down town Santa Cruz to take to your
presentation.
Note that I have 8 X 11-1/2" paper in my embosser, which can produce 26
lines of 28 cells each per page.

Hope this helps.
-thanks
