Hi all,

I wrote Robert Stigile this morning about the bus going from NorCal down to
LA for the convention. I will be flying, and sticking around the LA area
that Sunday so will not be taking the bus, bot for anyone who needs the
info:
Hello I do not have the specific information for location and time.
What you need to do is register for the convention and pay the five dollar
fee for the bus and having members do the same and we will get you that
information very soon


The below is being passed along from CAGDU and they're asking chapter
presidents to share with their members.

Dear Guide Dog Users,

The annual NFBCA state convention is rapidly approaching. The California
Association of Guide Dog Users (CAGDU) wishes to assist as many guide dog
users as possible to attend this phenomenal event.

CAGDU is offering financial assistance to those guide dog users who would
like to learn more about our chapter and our state affiliate and become
more active in our organization. This assistance will be provided in the
form of stipends and will be awarded on the last day of the convention.
The amount of the stipend will depend upon the number of applicants and on
the number of those who meet all the requirements listed below.

If you are a guide dog user and are interested in receiving this
assistance, please submit your name, email address, and phone number to me
by October 1st.  My contact information is provided below. Finalists will
be notified by October 15th.

If you are selected to be provided with this financial assistance, you will
receive your stipend on the last day of the convention.

Important Requirements
To receive the stipend, all finalists must fulfill the following
requirements.

• Register for the convention
• Attend the CAGDU breakfast meeting
• Attend all of the convention sessions
• Attend the convention banquet

If a candidate fails to meet any of these requirements, that person will
not receive the stipend.
