<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Hi all.&nbsp; Yesterday we took Edison to a full
service animal hospital just north of Sacramento.&nbsp; They were going to do
ultra sounds, but we already had one.&nbsp; Every test they asked to do, we had
already done.&nbsp; After all the speculation about rat poison and diaphragmatic
holes bruising his liver and I don't know what all, the worked is, Edison has
four broken ribs and will be on the injured list for about 6 weeks.&nbsp; Dr.
Runion advised against surgery, and Dr. Wong agreed.&nbsp; They upped his pain
medication and said that I shouldn't feel guilty, as I had done all I could and
more.&nbsp; They did offer one caution.&nbsp; "Edison's going to want to play
tugg-a-war in about two weeks.&nbsp; Give him the full six weeks to just
rest".&nbsp; So he's not quite himself,&nbsp;but he offers everyone a lick and a
wagy tale.&nbsp; His ears are down.&nbsp; They look folded into
themselves.&nbsp; The docs say I will know when he's out of pain because his
ears will once again be up and listening.&nbsp; Thanks for all your
thoughts.&nbsp; GDB has been following me through this whole process&nbsp; Next
week, I'm having both gates fitted with springs so they'll close by
themselves.&nbsp; That's all I can do.&nbsp; Other people have suggested
invisible fences, but I don't want Edison to be afraid of going outside,
etc.&nbsp; Thanks for your support.&nbsp; I'd appreciate calls or posts. My
phone is 209-464-6766. Thanks.&nbsp; &nbsp;</FONT></DIV></BODY></HTML>
