Hi Guys:<BR> <BR>There are lots of hotels in Berkeley, but there is one we used to stay at because of its convenient location. It is right near Center and Shattuck BART. Not even a block away from BART. It's called the French Hotel (they've changed the name so we were driving around last night trying to make sure it was still a cute little hotel). It is located at 1538 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley, CA 94709. It costs $110.00 per night plus tax. The phone number is 510-548-9930. It is right next to a Bank of America and right across from the post office. It is surrounded by restaurants of all kinds. There is a cafe in the lobby with cofee and pastries. But it is a very walkable area and some of my favorite restaurants are right there. And, most importantly it is close to BART, so getting to and from the Lions Center and the airport or Amtrak will be a breeze.<BR> <BR>You should make reservations very soon, though, because our August 23 date is right in the middle of parents bringing their beloved children to Cal, so all rooms book up quickly.
