2007<BR><BR>The Seeing Eye Offers Support to Eye Dog
Foundation<BR>Graduates<BR><BR>MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The Seeing Eye, Inc.,
of<BR>Morristown, N.J., the oldest dog<BR>guide school in North America, is
stepping in to offer<BR>support services to<BR>graduates of the Eye Dog
Foundation until the<BR>Phoenix-based dog guide school<BR>can re-open its
doors.<BR>Eye Dog Foundation announced earlier this month it<BR>would
temporarily close<BR>the facility. In the interim, The Seeing Eye, with<BR>about
1,800 active<BR>graduates in the United States and Canada, is
offering<BR>instructional<BR>services to Eye Dog graduates who might need
follow-up<BR>services.<BR>"When we match a Seeing Eye dog to a student,
our<BR>commitment to that team<BR>does not end once the 27-day training ends,"
explains<BR>Seeing Eye President<BR>Jim Kutsch. "We continue to provide
assistance to<BR>graduates during the<BR>entire life of the partnerships with
their dogs.<BR>Sometimes a graduate will<BR>move to a different neighborhood and
require<BR>additional training to navigate<BR>a new and particularly difficult
intersection, for<BR>example. Or a dog that<BR>has experienced interference from
someone's pet dog<BR>might suddenly develop a<BR>fear of other dogs. In those
and other cases, we will<BR>send an instructor to<BR>help the graduate resolve
these issues."<BR>Until Eye Dog Foundation is able to re-open its doors,<BR>The
Seeing Eye will<BR>offer these services to anyone with a dog guide from<BR>the
Phoenix school.<BR>For information on receiving these services from
