For this reason, it is easier to manage local issues and avocate for our constituents with local assistance. likewise, the national leadership can provide valuable guideance while creating a network that spreads across the country and throughout our ranks. The work you do in California has a tremendous impact on the lives of all blind people. I want to express my gratitude to each of you who have chosen to serve in our Movement and encourage you to continue serving as you feel led.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> Robert has advised me that most of you will be coming to the national
convention in Atlanta. Though we will be together at the NAGDU meeting, so will a large number of others. I would like to have the chance to get together with you as a group in a more intimate setting than our annual meeting so we can get to know each other and share our ideas, plans, and desires for our future. There are many great places to eat near the convention, so let's plan on sharing a meal and some fellowship in our busy convention schedules.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> Robert has told me that the NFBC convention is in Sacramento this year at the end of October. My daughter is stationed in San Francisco with the Coast Guard and is recently married. I have not yet met my new son-in-law and might be able to make your convention.
