[Cagdu] seminars

In our meeting last night, we were asked to think about doing further
seminars during the year. I would say that they are not worth the cost and
time because we are preaching to the choir.

Take Taxi companies. It is not reasonable to ask a business person to
come and speak to us in, say, July or August only to ask them to appear
again at our state convention.

Conventions happen anyway with more people at them than can possibly be
expected at a seminar.

We can also play a kind of distorted numbers game with seminars. "We
had thirty people at our seminar!" What we don't say is that those thirty
people included all of us who already knew what we wanted to hear and the
speakers who also knew what we wanted to hear. What we don't hear is what
those speakers say after leaving our meeting room.
