Hello Everyone,
I thought I would write while I have e-mail.
We are in Seattle for the night, but tomorrow we will go and
board the ship and set sail to Alaska.
This afternoon, when we landed at the Seattle airport, we needed
a taxi to get to the hotel.
Well, you can probably guess what happened.
The driver who was first in line, did not want to take us,
because of Wonder.
I explained that he is a Guide Dog, and the driver was still
reluctant, but thanks to the driver behind him, who said, I could
take them, but you really should be doing it because it is the
law.
So, the driver who didn't want to take us, ended up doing so.
On the way to the hotel, I found out that the reason he didn't
want to take us, was because he is allergic, and was afraid that
if he touched the dog for some reason, his allergies would act
up.
So, I told him that he wouldn't be petting Wonder and that it
really would be ok because he wouldn't have any problem since he
wouldn't be touching him.
So after talking almost the whole way about the training and
other such things about guide dogs, it turned out to be a
pleasant ride and the driver was educated.
Work never ends, even on vacation.
Take care,

Robert and Wonder
