Hello All,
I met today, with the Trainers from GDA.
We worked along Ventura Blvd, a very busy place, with winds in the high 60's
or 70's, it was very difficult to hear traffic.
Wonder, crossed intersections, in a straight line, and in one instance,
stopped in the middle of the street because a car was in the cross walk and
he had no where to go.
He is back to doing a great job, and is resting comfortably in his usual
spot in the Living Room.
This is all great news, with him coming to convention with me.
The bad news, is that he is getting mentally tired, so the trainers said
that if I let him go at his pace when working, he will be fine for a while,
but if I try to push him, he will tire more quickly.
Even though he has the physical ability of a puppy, his mind is tiring,
which they said is usual for most working dogs.
So, probably in the next year, depending on how he does, he will head
towards retirement.  If he is not doing well, then we will head toward
retirement earlier.
