[robert stigile]

Hello All,
I am forwarding this to you guys, because I think it is important
that we submit articles for the Harness up.
Thanks,

Robert Stigile

Thanks Melissa!

Yes, I would dearly love for folks to send me anything they would
like to
contribute to Harness Up. Right now I have nothing. Here are
some topic
ideas:
*how you advocated for yourself in an access challenge
*nonvisual alternatives for managing your dog's health or medical
needs
*ideas on how to work through common problems, dog distractions,
learning
new places, clearance errors etc.
*accounts of your experiences at NFB functions with your guide
*or anything else you'd like to share about guide dogs!

The easiest format for me to work with is email. You can send
attachments,
just let me know you want me to open the attachment in the body
of the
email. I am able to open .doc .txt and .rtf formats with no
problems.
Please put Harness Up submission or something similar in the
subject line of
your email message so I am clear about what the material is for.
My email
address is:
jlcrane at alltel.net

If you have difficulty writing or feel you are not a very good
writer I am
happy to help you contribute to Harness Up. If you need to
submit an audio
recording that I will transcribe into text that's fine. If you
would like
to submit a rough draft that I can revise that works too. If it
is at all
possible I would like to send back the revised articles to the
contributor
for approval before they are put into Harness Up.

If you would like to submit articles by snail mail or telephone
please send
an email to me at jlcrane at alltel.net and I will send you my
mailing address
and/or phone number.

I look forward to reading all your thoughts and ideas! I'll get
out the
next issue of Harness Up ASAP.

Thanks much!
Julie
