Hello Juliet,
I think you should handle it as you mentioned in the beginning.
If they don't show, and you try to go by and call one more time,
then after the seminar do a story with the paper.
Keep us informed.
Keep up the great work,

Robert Stigile

>Dear CAGDU Community and all concerned:

> We have not been able to get a commitment with the taxi
companies. Dispatching, keeps telling me that they are leaving a
message with the big boss, and he/she is not responding. I had
someone go by one of the offices, and they said that the big boss
was not in. Peter Mansell V. P. of CAGDU, contacted the
Access center. although, they could not attend the seminar, they
called me. They now are very aware of the problem, and they will
support us . The newspaper want a story. Should we leave it
alone for now? We could come foward after our seminar. I
believe that then we will be better informed as to what to do.
(That is after trying to go over there one more time, and
calling one last try.) Some advocates have suggested that after
the seminar if we do not get cooperation from the taxi industry,
we can begin making public statements as to, " Why it is
important to us to educate the industry, and We did invite them
to our event. However, they did not give us much importance, or
something like that. Also that they refused to work with us.
Here in North County San Diego, we have not had any problems yet,
but in other parts of San Diego, we have. What do you handlers
or supporters think. Is this something we want to have a short
conference call about or should we play it as suggested above? We
have a little time yet, but we need to move fast. Please feel
free to circulate this e-mail if anyone thinks it would help.
